What data is used, and what exactly is it used for?
The summary uses only what you entered yourself: the purchases and sales you recorded (security, quantity, price, fees, date, account type), the country of taxation you chose, and any carried-forward losses you declared.
That data serves one purpose only: to calculate your own summary, under the tax rules of the country you selected. It is used for nothing else.
In practice, this means:
• Earnnest sends your data to no tax authority, in any country.
• Earnnest files nothing on your behalf and registers you with no tax service.
• Your data is not sold, not shared with any third party, and not used to market anything to you.
• Nobody but you sees your summary.
You stay in control of this information: you can edit or delete any recorded transaction, export all of your data, or delete your account at any time from your settings.
